A little bit about Taxes

Why is the tax situation still bothering me?
I'll tell you why...
I thought our ancestors came to this country a long time ago to get away from
taxes? Not to gouge away every time it's possible...
Sure, certain taxes may be needed? But I don't see the system that they have right now, working in anyones favor. Except maybe for the IRS and the government it's screwing the working man in a bad way.
How can this problem be solved?

Does the average voter mean anything anymore.
I don't think one person should be able to override a whole state of citizens.

Do not turn on RED

A few times I was stopped at Red Light and noticed a "No Turn On Red"
sign.
The difference was on the other side of the street, there wasn't a sign saying the same law?
"Turn whenever you wish" on the one side, and then on the other "Turn after the light had changed?" That was the side I was on.
But if there is not much traffic, it should be time to
make the turn before more traffic comes that way.
Am I crazy?
I know where it's more hectic, these rules might come into place more often?
But to be pulled over for this (and I've seen it) is a sick joke to me.
